Garden Room Therapy
Garden Room Therapy is a low cost counselling and psychotherapy service based in the UK, with face to face services offered in Cromford, Derbyshire, and Sheffield City, and online services offered UK wide.
ABOUT US
Garden Room Therapy is a small therapy and parenting support service made up of two qualified clinicians, Keeley and Logan. We offer 1-2-1, 50 minute psychotherapy sessions, with the hope we can help you understand yourself better and see your life and mental health improve. These can be online, or in person in Cromford or Sheffield. We also offer walk and talk therapy if you feel that sitting for 50 minutes doesn’t feel accessible to you. Between us, we have a range of expertise to help you improve your mental health, or the health of the people you love the most.
Logan, our senior clinician, is a Level 7 psychotherapist with years of experience providing 1-2-1 support for people with eating disorders and body image concerns. The support he can give really does change lives, and he has the service statistics to back that up! As well as eating disorders, Logan has excellent knowledge and experience working with addiction, self-harm, trauma, and men’s mental health. He offers sessions at a standard rate of £60, although low cost sessions are also available – please don’t be afraid to ask!
Keeley is a Level 7 psychotherapist, with qualifications in parenting coaching and couples therapy. She offers 1-2-1 or couples support for parents who may be struggling with their mental health, or are worried about the mental health of their children. As well as this, Keeley specialises in working with transgender clients, maladaptive daydreaming, and those with attachment and relationship difficulties, either 1-2-1 or couples therapy. Keeley offers sessions at a rate of £40 for individual therapy or parenting support sessions, and £65 for couples therapy.

MODALITIES WE OFFER
We are qualified ‘integrative’ therapists, which means we draw from a range of different types of therapy in order to ensure your individual needs are met. Our core training is in Attachment Therapy, Person Centred Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, but we are also able to provide compassion focused and acceptance and commitment therapy, amongst others!

Attachment
Attachment Theory helps us understand how early relationships, particularly those with caregivers, shape the way we relate to ourselves and others throughout life. These formative experiences contribute to the development of an attachment style, which reflects our patterns of connection, trust, emotional regulation, and vulnerability in relationships.
Your therapist will support you in identifying and understanding these patterns, especially those that feel stuck or painful, and use a number of compassion based techniques to guide you towards making the change you want to see.

Person Centred
The Person Centred Approach is a well-established humanistic model that places the client at the heart of the therapeutic process. Developed by Carl Rogers, this approach is based on the understanding that each individual holds the innate capacity for growth, healing, and self-understanding. Rather than positioning the therapist as the expert, person-centred therapy recognises that you are the expert on your own life and experiences. Your therapist’s role is not to direct or fix, but to walk alongside you, authentically, compassionately, and with deep respect for your process..

CBT
CBT is a structured, evidence-based approach to counselling that explores the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. It is grounded in the idea that the way we interpret situations, our internal dialogue or thought patterns can strongly influence how we feel and what we do.
CBT helps to make sense of this interplay by identifying thinking errors (also known as cognitive distortions) and examining underlying belief systems. Together with your therapist, you’ll explore your core beliefs, and how these influence your day-to-day thoughts and behaviours.

Compassion Focused
Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) is an integrative, evidence-based approach that supports people in developing a kinder, more understanding relationship with themselves. It is rooted in evolutionary psychology and attachment theory, recognising that growth can’t come from a place of shame. CFT helps to make sense of our emotional patterns by exploring how our brains respond to threat and how compassion can soothe and regulate these responses. Together with your therapist, you’ll work on building self-acceptance, and emotional balance through self compassion work.
